Nightly Perspective
"Get Up...Get Up... Get Up...It's time for you to feed me", Braylon communicates to me every morning around 3:30am. Tonight I beat him to the punch by nursing him before he was fully awake and screaming in cries because I didn't know my cue. What you don't know about this parenting thing, 'Mother Nature' teaches you.
Yes, we are getting the hang of this parenting thing. I am realizing that this is the easy part. I fight constantly to keep the fearful thoughts at bay of what may happen the first time he goes to the park or daycare for that matter. I know I can't protect him from everything, and I am reminded everyday that my faith and trust must be in God to protect him; otherwise I would go crazy trying to control everything which is humanly impossible and exhausting. However, I will always do my best and will try to spend more time enjoying him instead of worrying.
He's back to sleep now, so I suppose I better get some shut-eye as well.

First Day Blogging!
How cool is this! It's my first day blogging. I am so excited b/c I have another avenue to express myself and share our lives with our family and friends. I named my blog 'meandtheturnerboyz' b/c I am the wife of Tony, mother of Braylon, and pet owner of Marlo--no shortage of testosterone in this household.
Braylon is sleeping now, but he didn't go down easily. Whomever said babies sleep all the time lied or I should say for my baby this isn't true. At a month and a half he is already demanding playtime. After a nap he eats; has about 2-3 diaper changes and depending on how the diaper changes go--possibly a bath; he plays, eats some more, and then maybe he will fall asleep.
I am so blessed to be able to spend this time with him; I wouldn't want to be any other place right now. I am gaining some independence. Today Tony watched him while I went on a 2 mile walk with a friend; sometimes I run errands just to get out of the house; and now we go to church pretty regularly. I never dreamed I'd be able to stay home with my child this long--Thank you God!
